MetaMansion in The Sandbox by Playboy will have games, social play, events, and digital collectible releases from Playboy’s huge library of content.
Playboy is a lifestyle brand that is known all over the world. Their new project in the metaverse will use the talent and influencer network of the company. It will also try to sell Playboy’s clothes and live events.

“Part virtual real estate and part amusement park,” says The Sandbox. They say that “the idea of the metaverse as a continuous shared digital space” is something they “fully embrace.” Over 300 big brands have worked with The Sandbox in the past to bring their presence to the metaverse.

Playboy NFTs

The Playboy Rabbitars are a set of NFT toys based on avatars that came out last year. People who own Rabbitars or Sandbox LAND can do special things in the Sandbox, which is the company’s virtual world.

Rachel Webber is in charge of Playboy’s brand and strategy.

“We’re excited to work with The Sandbox and its best-in-class design and development team to build a premium, customized Playboy gaming and social experience in the metaverse. We can’t wait to invite Playboy fans from all over the world, especially the Rabbitar community and people who own The Sandbox LAND, into this new immersive Playboy world.”

Playboy has been making experiences that are controversial for almost 70 years.
Since 1948, the bunny brand has been making people feel uncomfortable. The company says that The Sandbox is a place where new ideas can be tried out.

Sebastien Borget is The Sandbox’s COO and one of its founders. “Playboy is a good example of a brand because of its charm, lifestyle, and entertainment content that has lasted through the years and has already done well in Web3. We’re happy to bring its rich archive of content into the metaverse and let true fans become virtual neighbors of this iconic brand during a future LAND sale in Q3 2022.”
