Binerica wants his first music album to be different, so he uses non-traditional instruments (NFTs) and works with a number of other artists.
Most of us already know that non-fungible tokens (NFTs) aren’t just cute GIFs and JPEGs of weird characters. They can also be used to show that you own other digital content, like music clips, in a way that can’t be changed. In fact, music NFTs have been getting a lot of attention in the last year, especially in the EDM space. This is true not only for international markets but also for the local market in Indonesia.
An Indonesian artist, Binerica, has made a music NFT project that has recently caught the attention of the Indonesian Web3 community. Binerica wanted his first album, Lima Dimensi, to be different from anything else out there, so he used NFTs. Lima Dimensi will be sold as NFTs on the Tezos blockchain. You can listen to the whole album on Spotify.
Collectors can try out Binerica NFT by going to its landing page, where 10 tracks are shown as coordinates. When these coordinates are clicked, collectors will be taken to an CYBER Gallery where the NFTs are being shown. Then, they can listen to the whole song while looking at the art that Binerica’s collaborators made. And if they want to collect, they can click on the NFT and be sent to the marketplace, which is objkt.com.
The Binerica NFT project has two kinds of NFTs
main NFTs and celestial object NFTs. The main NFTs are works of art by the artist Radhinal Indra that are fully animated and played along with the related track in Lima Dimensi. There will be a total of 250 main NFTs to be collected (25 unique NFTs for each track in the album). After minting, people who own these main NFTs will also get two special NFT drops: the artwork for an NFT track and a WAV sample of an NFT song. This music sample can be used in any business for free.
Celestial Object NFTs, on the other hand, are a collection of artworks that show how Binerica’s collaborators interpreted the objects. Each of these artists will make a piece of art for one song on the album based on a song they chose. There will be about 50 NFTs to collect. They will come in many different formats, like JPEG, PNG, GIF, 3D, MP4, etc.
